Growing up with a mother who was also a Physiotherapist, Georgia’s interest was piqued from a young age. Combined with her passion for sport, health and helping others, Physiotherapy was a natural career choice.
Georgia’s love of sport and movement has seen her compete in a variety of sports including swimming, soccer and more notably, Water Polo. She is an Elite athlete, having been a part of the NSWIS, junior and senior Australian Water Polo squads, as well as currently co-captaining and competing for Drummoyne in the Australian Water Polo League, where she has played since she was a junior. With this level of personal experience, she truly understands the demands that Elite sport has on the body, including the risks of knee injuries, shoulder injuries, and concussion recovery.
She has also been on the other side of this, having worked with the Under 16 Australian Water Polo team on their World Championships tour.
Georgia chose to pursue private practice Physiotherapy because she has a true interest and love for building real connections and trust with her patients, to understand them better and ultimately, help them achieve their goals. She also works closely with NDIS physio patients, helping them regain mobility and independence.
She has a passion for getting people back to what they love, whether that be sport, activity, or daily life. She believes movement is medicine and wants to help all people reach their potential and improve their quality of life.
Outside of work you’ll catch Georgia in the gym, playing sport or watching it. And if she’s not there, she will be baking up a storm in the kitchen! She plans to continue to build on her experience and knowledge, by pursuing further study in to Women’s health and Sports Physio.
